Concrete Calculator was born from a simple observation: construction professionals needed better digital tools. In 2020, our founder Michael Chen, a civil engineer with over 15 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, found himself repeatedly creating spreadsheets to handle concrete calculations for his team.
The process was cumbersome, error-prone, and time-consuming. Michael knew there had to be a better way. He envisioned a comprehensive yet user-friendly calculator that would handle all aspects of concrete estimation—from basic volume calculations to detailed material estimates and cost projections.
Working with a team of developers and fellow engineers, Michael launched the first version of Concrete Calculator in early 2021.
